RE-CRATE

OUR PHILOSOPHY

To create a chair using readily available and repurposed materials, promoting resourcefulness and reducing waste. Our goal is to challenge consumerist culture by demonstrating that functional and aesthetically pleasing items can be created from everyday items rather than buying new furniture.

    CASE STUDY

OPPORTUNITY

The Form Theory project is an opportunity for students to collaborate and work as a team to produce a prototype of a chair embodying their shared design philosophy inspired by history. Bringing history and innovation together in a project that's not just about chairs, but about the ideas designers want to express. Students also designed an exhibition space for the prototype to be displayed in and completed a comprehensive case study explaining their process.
